WELCOME — There will be a cribbage tournament Saturday, March 16, at the Welcome Legion Hall. Registation begins at 1:15 p.m. and play starts at 1:30 p.m. Anyone in the area that loves cribbage is welcome. They may extend the cribbage playing to April but if not this would be the last tournament this spring. There will be an American Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 18, at St. John Vianney Church in Fairmont. There will also be a drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 29, at Live Fit Gym in Fairmont. Welcome City Council is scheduled to meet 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Welcome City Hall. There is always a time for public comments and questions at the beginning of each meeting without reservations. Midweek Lenten services continue on March 20 at area churches with Circle of Faith parishes meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. for a meal and then a 7 p.m. service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. St. Paul’s in Welcome will have a meal at 6 p.m. followed by a Bible study. St. John’s Lutheran in Sherburn will have a 6 p.m. service followed by a lunch.

There is a CREST-sponsored Lunch & Learn program scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20,at First Lutheran Church in Trimont. The program will be followed by a luncheon. These interesting and educational fun programs are free to anyone in Martin County. A free will donation for the luncheon is appreciated.
