Seminar Sunday in Trimont

SHERBURN — There will be a Lunch and Learn program beginning 11 a.m. today, Feb. 1, at the Sherburn Senior Center on First Street near the city hall building. The program will be about Hospice and what they do. Lunch will follow. This is free for anyone in Martin

County. A donation for the lunch expense is appreciated.

Tonight, Feb. 1, will be ‘Hamburger Night’ from 5-8 p.m. at the Sherburn Legion Hall. The menu will consist of a burger with all the fixings, salad, and baked beans for only $10. Plan to attend.

The Sherburn Theatre will feature the comedy “80 for Brady” this weekend, Feb. 3-5, and next weekend, Feb. 10-12. Movie times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

There is a Grandparenting Matters video seminar scheduled 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Trimont Covenant Church, 61 E. Main Street in Trimont. Group leaders will be Kermit and Robin Carlson. Six sessions are planned. There is a cost of $18 per person or $25 for

A caregiver support group meeting is planned for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Trinity Church in Trimont. For further information, contact CREST at (507) 235-3833.

Sherburn City Council is scheduled to meet 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Sherburn City Hall. There is always time for public comments or questions at the beginning of the meeting without reservations. American Red Cross blood drives in February will be held Feb. 14-16 at the Best Western in Fairmont, and on Feb. 27, in Welcome. There is a drastic need for blood now. Please give if you can.

Martin County West student activities include a wrestling triangular beginning 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Madelia, and the boys hockey team will have a game against Waseca at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Fairmont Arena, and the boys basketball team will travel to Alden

Conger at 7 p.m. On Friday, Feb. 3, the FFA has a Ag Bowl scheduled at SMSU. The boys hockey team will go to Rochester for a 3:30 p.m. game, and the girls basketball team will play 7 p.m. at Trimont. On Saturday, Feb. 4, the gymnastics team will go to Worthington for a meet at 11 a.m. On Monday, Feb. 6, the gymnastics team will go to Marshall at 6 p.m., and the girls basketball team will travel to Cleveland for a 6 p.m. game. On Tuesday, Feb. 7, the wrestling team will go to Nicollet for a tournament beginning at 4 p.m., the girls basketball team will play Luverne starting 7 p.m. at Trimont, the girls hockey team will play at the Fairmont Arena at 7 p.m., the boys basketball will travel to Westbrook Walnut Grove for a 7:30 p.m. game, and the boys hockey team will play 7 p.m. at the Blue Mound Arena.
