Blood drive Monday
TRUMAN — Wednesday is recycling day. Containers should be curbside by 7 a.m. with all recycling materials clean.
Second Harvest Heartland, nutrition assistance program for seniors, will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Come to Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman to pick up your box. Eligibility is based on age, 60 years and up, household size in income. Preregister at 1-800-365-0270.
A word scramble challenge for adults will be held 2 p.m. Nov. 17, at the Truman Public Library. Date/time doesn’t work for you? Stop by the library anytime that week and complete the challenge.
An American Red Cross blood drive will be held noon to 6 p.m. Monday at the Truman Community Building. To make an appointment, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, www.redcrossblood.org, or text BLOODAPP to 90999 or call Yvonne at (507) 776-8555. Fill out Rapid Pass on the day of your appointment and shorten the registration time.
STEP, Inc. is collecting your old Christmas lights. You can drop off your lights at the Truman City Office, the office entrance at St Paul’s Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran Church.
4-H stem learning for kids, 3rd grade and up, will be held 3:30-4:30 p.m. Nov. 17, Dec. 6, and Dec. 13, in the back room of the Truman Public Library.
