MCW Prom this Saturday

SHERBURN — Coffee Hours continue from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in April, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee, treats and fellowship. Coffee Hours on Tuesdays in May will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.

The Interlaken Heritage Days Spring Craft and Vendor show will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at the National Guard Armory in Fairmont.

The St. John’s Lutheran Church will host its partner church, St. Paul’s from Wilbert, for a combined service at 8 a.m. and a call meeting on Sunday, April 26. St. John’s is accepting Vacation Bible School registration for preschool and kindergarten students, and Camp Omega Day Camp registration for students entering first to sixth grade. Condolences to the families of Gary Landers and Harold Nowak, who passed away recently. They will be missed.

Memory Cafe will meet at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 27, at the Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn. This is a free support group for family and caregivers of dementia patients of any kind, such as Alzheimer’s Disease.

The Friendship Club from St. John’s in Sherburn invites all area residents to join them for fun and lunch on Monday, May 4, at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Membership at St. John’s is not required.

Martin County West High School will have Prom, “Once Upon A Golden Night”, at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:45 p.m.) on Saturday, April 25. Free-will donations will be accepted to help with the expenses.

The MCW girls’ golf team will compete at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 22, at Winthrop. The boys’ golf team will compete at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 22, at Mayflower Golf Course. Both girls’ and boys’ golf teams will compete at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at Mountain Lake Golf Course. The baseball team will play against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, at Truman Public School. The softball team will have a double header at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, at Nicollet High School. The track and field teams will compete against multiple schools at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at Wilson Field in Blue Earth, and at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at St. James High School. The baseball team will play against GHEC/T/ML at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27, at Fox Lake Sports Complex in Welcome.
