CEYLON — Circle of Faith parishes including St. Peter in Ceylon are reminded that the First Lutheran Church in Trimont will have Wednesday evening services at 7 p.m. for the month of June. St. Peter Lutheran in Ceylon has Sunday services at 8:30 a.m., Waverly Lutheran north of Welcome has 9 a.m. services, and Trinity Lutheran in Welcome has 10:30 a.m. services. There will be an opportunity to take drive through communion for Circle of Faith members from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, and June 19, at Trinity Lutheran in Welcome or Waverly Lutheran north of Welcome.

Ceylon City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ceylon City Hall. All

members are encouraged to attend. There is always a time for public

comments and questions at the beginning of each meeting without needing a reservation. To be on the regular agenda, please contact the city clerk at (507) 632-4653 prior to the meeting date.

Ceylon Legion and Sons of the Legion will have a very important meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14. All members are urged to attend. A representative from the Second District of the MN Legion will be present and a discussion about the local post will be held. The destiny of the post will be discussed. As many members as possible should be in attendance that night.

Tuesday coffee hours for the month of June continue from 8:30-10 a.m. June 14, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn. Join friends and neighbors for great fellowship over a cup or two of good coffee and treats.

Then on Thursdays, they have coffee from 8:30-10 a.m. in the back room at Legends ll in Ceylon. Good opportunity to join friends and neighbors for good fellowship too.

Remember the Ceylon all-school reunion is planned for June 25 at the old legion building, Legends ll now, beginning with a social hour from 4-5:30 p.m. and then a catered meal with reservations from 5:30-7 p.m. Steve Lang and Bob Petrowiak will provide music entertainment from 7-11 p.m. Ceylon Area Historical Society Museum will be open from 4 p.m. to closing on Friday, June 24, and beginning at 10 a.m. on June 25, with all the pictures of the classes that used to hang in the hallway of the high school and other memorabilia, some on sale. Plan to attend. The committee asks that any student update their mailing list by providing any new address since 2015 list to the email address CeylonHighSchoolAlumni @gmail .com.

There is a Ruby’s Pantry food distribution planned 5:30-7 p.m. on June 20 at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn, just south of

I-90. Watch their Facebook page for items to be distributed for $25. There are no residence or income guidelines.

It must be summer because the nearby cities are having summer festivals. Interlaken Days in Fairmont this weekend, Sherburn Festival on June 16, and Welcome festival in July. Plan to attend.
