FACT to present comedy

FAIRMONT — Fairmont Area Community Theater is proud to present its second production of the 2021-2022 season, “Drinking Habits,” directed by Samantha Rosenberg. Accusations, mistaken identities, and romances run wild in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce. Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing (Ellen Germain, Christine Bauman) have been secretly making wine to keep the convent’s doors open, but Paul and Sally (Josh Ensrud, Kaylee Bauman), reporters and former fiancees, are hot on their trail. They go undercover as a nun and priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun (Odessa Stade), spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. Wine and secrets are inevitably spilled as everyone tries to preserve the convent and reconnect with lost loves. This spectacular cast is rounded out by the talents of Lynne Burgraff, Corey Shoen, and Shawn Shoen.

Come see this delightful comedy on the Fairmont Opera House mainstage from October 14-16 at 7:00PM and October 17 at 2:00PM. Tickets are available online at fairmontoperahouse.org/tickets. General admission is $20 and senior admission is $15.
