SHERBURN — Sherburn Legion will have Burger Night 5-8 p.m. tonight. Charcoal grilled hamburger with all the fixings, salad, and baked beans for $8. Sounds good.

Mayo Clinic Mobile Unit is in Sherburn for the second day, 8 a.m to 4 p.m., behind the city hall. To make an appointment call (507) 238-8500 and ask for a Sherburn appointment. The mobile clinic comes to Sherburn every two weeks.

Sherburn Theatre features Shang-Chi the legend of the Ten Rings 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 4 p.m. Sunday this weekend and next weekend. Tickets are $5.

Condolences to the family of Jeanne Howard from rural Sherburn who passed away this week. She will be missed.

The first day of school for the Martin County West school district is September 7 for grades 7-12 and September 9 for grades K-6.

There is a transition day for 7th graders and new students to the school district 3:30-7:30 p.m. tonight. The high school staff, student council, and National Honor Society members will provide orientation sessions with many activities planned for students and parents. Busing will be provided from Trimont, Welcome and Ceylon.
