CREST seeking volunteers
TRUMAN — The Truman Library is a Wi-Fi “hot spot.” To use it you must be: 1) 18 years or older; 2) have a Martin County library card; 3) have an email address.
The lending period is for one week.
Patrons may put their name on the waiting list.

“Truman Time” can be heard 3:15 p.m. Monday on KNUJ AM 860. Mayor Lynn Brownlee will give us an update about all the good things taking place in our town.

Remember to wear you bike helmet for your safety. You may be rewarded by the police officer if you are seen wearing one.

If you enjoy driving and have a desire to help people with their medical appointments, go to the grocery store, attend social gatherings, run errands or even a phone call, CREST is looking for you. It’s a wonderful way for you to assist people in need and provide companionship.
Just call the CREST office at (507) 235-3833 and ask for a volunteer application.

You can be a part of the “Spruce-Up Group” by making your property look presentable and you will have a good feeling about your accomplishment.

Truman Public School is planning to start the new school year Sept. 8 for high school and Sept. 10 for elementary students.
