The election for the city of Truman will be held Nov. 3 for the following offices: 1) One mayor for a two-year term; 2) two council members for four-year terms.

First day to file for candidacy is July 28 and the last day is Aug. 11, until 5 p.m. Filing is made at Truman City Hall, 202 W. Ciro St.

When you’re tired of cooking, try carryout or curbside services from our food establishments in Truman. Call ahead and they will have a delicious meal for you to enjoy.

Sunday is the day to fly your flag at half staff to honor those we have lost to COVID-19. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has requested we do this on the 19th of each month until the end of this year.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday in the meeting room at the fire hall. Please use the west door.
