FAIRMONT — Martin County Youth Foundation recently held its Donor Recognition and Awards Presentation.

Grants totaling $13,250 were awarded to 12 organizations or projects. They are:

o Project 1590, $1,000, Science, technology, engineering and math activity camps.

o Minnesota Ag in the Classroom Foundation, $1,200 for ag-based lessons for schools and teachers.

o Red Rock Center for the Arts, $800, Fairmont Area High School art show and workshop.

o Red Rock Center for the Arts, $500, Children’s Theatre workshop and play.

o Girl Scouts, Jennifer Nielsen, $500, musical sensory garden.

o Girl Scouts, Hope Kueker and Kaylee Nelson, $500, community sensory room.

o Fairmont Opera House, $2,550, Holiday Hoopla community event.

o Fairmont Bowling Association, $1,680, Bowling 101 Blastoff.

o Kinship of Martin County, $2,200, Positive Participation scholarships.

o Fairmont Area Schools, $950, for after-school enrichment science explorations with the Prairie Ecology Bus.

o Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce, $2,450, Area Career Exploration Day.

o Martin County Historical Society, $500, annual school visitation program.
