Uninsured vehicle-owner violation — Dylan K. Risk, 20, of Fairmont; fined $285.
Igor Y. Prokopenko, 44, of Everett, Wash. received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of possession or sale of stolen or counterfeited check; fined $1,185, sentenced to jail 30 days, credit for time served 30 days, five years supervised probation, report to agent after sentencing, contact probation officer as directed, pay restitution if filed by County Attorney’s office within 30 days, complete the South Oaks gambling screen and if required do further programming and/or assessments as directed by agent, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, ICOTS rules apply to this case and defendant needs to abide by rules he is subjected to, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional felony charges of identity theft-transfers/possesses/uses identity of other person, aid and abet identity theft-transfers/possesses/uses identity of other person, aid and abet possession or sale of stolen or counterfeited check, financial transaction card fraud-sell two or more, aid and abet financial transaction card fraud-sell two or more, and misdemeanor charges of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, were all dismissed.
Timothy M. Stedman, 34, of Fairmont was convicted of domestic assault-intentionally attempts to inflict bodily harm on another; fined $3,967.92, restitution $3,867.92, sentenced to jail 90 days, credit from time served 90 days.
Matthew P. Holtz Jr., 30, of Fairmont was convicted of domestic assault-subsequent violation; fined $75, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 338 days for two years, credit for time served 27 days, two years supervised probation, sentence to service 10 days for indeterminate, contact probation officer as directed, complete chemical assessment and follow all recommendations including treatment and aftercare, if treatment is recommended then defendant may be released to a CD program with Martin County Sheriff transporting, complete diagnostic assessment and follow all recommendations, probationary Domestic No Contact (DANCO), no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, no same or similar, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Additional felony charge of simple robbery, and a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree damage to property-intentional damage-other circumstances, were both dismissed.
Avory J. Vleiger, 21, of Fairmont was convicted of open burning; fined $85, sentence to service one day for indeterminate.
