Shawnalene L. Christensen, 47, of Sherburn was convicted of wireless communications device-engage in cellular phone or video call; fined $135. Also convicted of driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type; fined $100.
Steven A. Persinger, 34, of Truman was convicted of domestic assault-subsequent violation; fined $885, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 325 days for two years, credit for time served 40 days, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete a domestic abuse program as approved by probation agent, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all current and/or future Orders for Protection and/or Domestic No Contact orders, comply with all recommendations of Martin County Human Services, comply with all recommendations of the chemical dependency assessment dated 9/2/21, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, obtain employment, maintain employment, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives if prohibited by law.
Cole K. Wiebe, 38, of Fairmont was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $100, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 25 months, give a DNA sample when directed. Additional felony charges of first-degree assault-great bodily harm, aid and abet first-degree assault-great bodily harm, first-degree attempt to commit aggravated robbery, aid and abet first-degree attempt to commit aggravated robbery, third-degree assault-substantial bodily harm, aid and abet third-degree assault-substantial bodily harm, third-degree controlled substance sales, and misdemeanor charges of unlawful possess/sell/give away/barter/exchange/distribute pharmacy drugs, obstruct legal process-interfere with peace officer, fleeing a peace officer by means other than a motor vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited, were all dismissed.
Brett W. Meyeraan, 36, of Fairmont had a charge of disorderly conduct-offensive/abusive/noisy/obscene continued for dismissal; one year unsupervised monitoring without conviction, no contact with victim(s), no same or similar.
Joseph N. Silverthorn, 45, of Fairmont was convicted of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $1,010, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 362 days for two years, credit for time served three days, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete chemical assessment, follow all recommendations of evaluation, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, remain law-abiding, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives.
