Class of 1962 to meet

Fairmont High School class of 1962, spouses and friends, will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. today, Feb. 8, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

CREST “Lunch & Learn” coming to Fairmont

Most people crave anything that has chocolate in it. Chocolate milk, chocolate ice cream, chocolate chip cookies and chocolate candy bars are all sweet to our taste buds. The next CREST Lunch & Learn program will take place 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the CREST office located at 820 Winnebago Ave. in Fairmont. This month will feature a delicious salute to chocolate. A lunch of barbecues, Tuscany soup, Valentine cookies and ice cream with toppings will be served following the program. If you would like to attend this program, please RSVP the CREST office at (507) 235-3833. This activity is open to anyone in Martin County and a free-will donation is always welcome.

Prairie Star Quilters to hold meeting

Prairie Star Quilt Guild will hold its next meeting Monday, Feb. 12, at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave., Fairmont. The quilt board will meet at 12:30 p.m., followed by a general membership meeting at 1:30 p.m. Bring your favorite quilt book or magazine to share with other members. Sew and share will follow the meeting. The evening group will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Jake’s Pizza. Anyone interested in this group are welcome.
