Early Risers Kiwanis meets Wednesday

Early Risers Kiwanis will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Family Restaurant in Fairmont. Our featured speaker will be James Rabe, he will be speaking for our Thanksgiving meeting. James is excited to bring a message of Gratitude during this time of thanksgiving. The public is invited.

Madeline Mathiason of Fairmont, Minnesota, a first-year student at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, was recently honored with the SCO Honors Endowed Scholarship award. The award recognizes an optometry student who had a competitive undergraduate grade point average and Optometry Admission Test score, as well as demonstrated leadership and service. It comes with an annual scholarship of $10,000 over the course of the four-year doctorate program.

Mathiason is the daughter of Jeff and Jill Mathiason. She is a graduate of Iowa State University and Fairmont Jr/Sr High School.
