Red Rock to hold Tuesday lunch event

Red Rock Center’s Lunch with the Arts program, featuring musical entertainment by Bill Buss, Joyce Schultz and Sandy Ettesvold, will begin noon Tuesday, May 14, at 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. Bring a sack lunch if desired, coffee and bars will be provided. Free, everyone is welcome.

Historical Society plans Tuesday program

A Martin County veteran’s presentation featuring John Hilgendorf’s military experiences will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Pioneer Museum in Fairmont. There is no charge and the public is invited to attend.

Books and Brews Thursday at Fairmont Library

Join library staff for Books and Brews Morning Edition beginning 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Library staff will highlight summer romance novels. Bring your coffee and join them. There is no cost to attend this event, and no registration is required. With questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Spice of Life meeting Thursday in Fairmont

CREST’s “Spice of Life” program offers a new destination for fun for older caregivers and their care partner. Crafting, playing games, being with others and just enjoying an afternoon out brightens any day. Add a snack and the afternoon flies by. This month’s activity will be planting the flower pots that were decorated at last month’s meeting. Spice of Life will take place 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the CREST office, 820 Winnebago Ave. in Fairmont. There is no charge for this event, but donations are always welcome. RSVP’s are encouraged by calling (507) 235-3833. They hope to see you there.
