3M employees to meet Tuesday

3M employees, past and present, will meet for lunch noon Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Green Mill Restaurant, Fairmont.

Lefse making demonstration at Sherburn Library

Curious about how to make lefse? Join library staff as Megan Heller demonstrates the lefse making process, just in time for the holiday season. The program will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Sherburn Library. No registration is needed.

Garden Club sets Wednesday meeting

City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will meet 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the fellowship hall at Fairmont United Methodist Church, 119 E. 2nd St. in Fairmont. Please use the rear door. This is their annual Garden Club Christmas potluck, so please bring a dish to share. There will be no business conducted during this meeting time. Please bring new unwrapped Christmas gifts to the meeting. The gifts will be distributed to area nursing facility residents. Meetings are open to visitors and new members but please RSVP your attendance to Leslie so adequate accommodations can be made. Compassionate Friends plan upcoming potluck

SC MN Chapter of Compassionate Friends will hold its annual worldwide candle lighting pot luck and program on Sunday, Dec. 11, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 700 S. Broadway in New Ulm, Minn. The potluck will begin a 6 p.m., then at 7 p.m. they will light their candles, “that their light may always shine,” followed by a program of poems, readings and music. Supplies will be on hand for making an ornament for a loved one plus a button machine. There will be a slide show with music of their loved one’s so if you would like to include your loved one, please send a photo to theguysmom@gmail.com.
