Service Club to hold meeting Tuesday

Fairmont Service Club will meet noon Tuesday at the Best Western in Fairmont. The program this week will feature club member, Ernie Nuss, who will talk about making stories and recording videos for veterans. The public is always welcome to join club members for these programs. CER to offer upcoming community activities

Fairmont Community Education & Recreation (CER) will offer two upcoming community activities. First, a Scuba Diving class will be held. Classroom time will take place Tuesday, Feb. 1 and Tuesday, Feb. 22. Pool time will be held Tuesday, Feb. 8, and Tuesday, Feb. 15, in the indoor pool at the Lake Crystal Area Recreation Center. Next a Fairmont Dance Team dance clinic for children, kindergarten to 6th grade, will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Fairmont High School, with a performance set for Friday, Feb. 4. Lunch & Learn event Wednesday in Sherburn

CREST will be having a ‘Lunch & Learn’ event 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Senior Citizen’s Center, 21 E. 1st St. in Sherburn. The program for this month will be on finding ways to kick cabin fever out for the remainder of the winter. A homemade soup and sandwich meal, plus a tasty Valentine’s dessert will be served following the program. This event is open to anyone in Martin County. Free-will donations are always welcome.

Class of 1961 to meet

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends, will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont.
