Red Rock to host lunch with the arts

A lunch with the arts program featuring musical entertainment by Big John and Connie Pederson of Ledyard, Iowa, will be held noon Tuesday at Red Rock Center for the Arts, Fairmont. Bars and coffee will be provided. The event is free. Everyone is welcome.

Blood drive planned Tuesday in Welcome

American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 214 N. Dugan St., in Welcome. Fairmont City Band to close out season

Fairmont City Band will perform its final summer concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sylvania Park band shell in Fairmont. Rehearsal will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at the band shell. Intermission entertainment will be provided by Civic Summer Theater, which will perform selections from its summer play, “The Wizard of Oz.” IHD committee will operate the concession stand, with proceeds going toward Interlaken Heritage Days. Libraries to host Brodini Comedy Magic

Martin County libraries will offer Brodini Comedy Magic shows at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the library in Fairmont, 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sherburn Theater, 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Trimont Municipal Building and 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Truman Community Building. Faber bridal shower scheduled

An open house bridal shower for Nancy Faber, daughter of David and Dana Faber, and bride-to-be of Mike Collins of New Orleans, will be 1-3 p.m. July 14 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 303 S. Lake St., in Sherburn. Family and friends are invited.

Conservation Club sets Tuesday meeting

Martin County Conservation Club will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the club shelter house on North Silver Lake. The site can be reached by driving seven miles south of Fairmont on Highway 15, then taking a right on County Road 8 for 1 1/4 miles just past Hands Park. All club members and the public are welcome to attend.
