Borderline Cruisers plan car show

Borderline Cruisers Car Club will host its 28th annual Classic Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. Registration will be 9 a.m. to noon. Show registration costs $15. An awards presentation will be held at 3 p.m. Dash plaques will be given for the first 100 cars. All are welcome. Sportsman’s Club slates trap shooting event

East Chain Sportsman’s Club will hold a club trap shooting event noon Sunday at the club located one-half mile north of East Chain on 254th Avenue. They will shoot practice rounds and 16-25 yard Oakley’s and Boondocks. The grill will be on all day. For more information, contact Moby at (507) 236-4189. Everyone is welcome.

Great Books to meet

Great Books will meet 9:30 a.m. Monday at Dolores Gronewald’s home, 1631 Knollwood Dr., Fairmont. The story is “Hog for Sorrow” by Leopoldine Core.

Prairie Star Quilters to hold meeting

Prairie Star Quilt Guild will meet Monday at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave., in Fairmont. The guild board will meet 12:30 p.m., with the regular membership meeting beginning 1:30 p.m. The evening group will meet at 5:30 p.m. Membership is open to anyone who enjoys quilting. Totally Tweens at the Fairmont Library

Tweens and teens are invited to weekly events at the Martin County Library located at 110 N. Park St., Fairmont. The first event this summer will be an Oreo Taste Test at 2 p.m. Tuesday. There is no cost to attend these events and they are open to the public. With questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.
