Woodcarvers set Tuesday meeting
CER Woodcarving group will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday in the art room at Fairmont Elementary School. Park on the south side of the building and use the CER office door. Anyone interested in woodcarving is welcome to attend. No charge.
‘Toddler Tinker Lab’ slated at library
The Martin County Library in Fairmont will host “Toddler Tinker Lab” at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The lab is designed to allow toddlers to explore, grow and create with a variety of activities each month. Fairmont Area to honor retirees
Fairmont Area School will honor this year’s retirees with an open house reception from 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday in room 1017 (Budd Room) at Fairmont Elementary School. Retirees being honored are Jim Davison, Jodi Owens-Kristenson, Jody Uttech, Sheri Swanson and Cyndi Johnson. Community members are welcome to attend.
Heritage Acres group to meet Thursday
Heritage Acres will meet Thursday in the chapel at Heritage Acres, Fairmont. A light supper will be served 6 p.m., followed by the meeting.
Town hall meeting set for Thursday
A Convention of States town hall meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Martin County Library, Fairmont. The meeting will be hosted by Kevin Fuhrman, a volunteer with the Convention of States project, a nationwide grassroots organization. The group proposes to call a convention under Article V of the U.S. Constitution to propose constitutional amendments that would impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on officials and members of Congress.
