Aktion Club Theatre sets Thursday meeting

Aktion Club Theatre, part of Kiwanis International, will meet 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The public is invited to attend any of the group’s theatrical practices. Those needing a ride or who have questions about the group may call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017 or the Arc office at (507) 235-8580.

Music event slated Sunday in Fairmont

The 24th annual Festival of Music that was postponed earlier this month will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Fairmont United Methodist Church, 119 E. 2nd St. in Fairmont. The music reflects the tradition of area churches and the theme of the music will be about the suffering of Jesus and/or his resurrection. The program will consist of solos, instrumentals, ensembles and choirs. There will also be scripture readings and a hymn sing during the festival. An offering will be received at this event and will go to support the ministry of CREST in Martin County. The public is cordially invited to attend.
