Early Risers to hold meeting today

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. today at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program will feature Mike Shepley, Martin County Assessor. The public is invited to attend.

Kindergarten Round-Up set for Thursday

Kindergarten Round-Up open house and registration for the 2019-2020 school year will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Fairmont Elementary School. Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions, meet the kindergarten teachers and participate in activities with their children.

Class of 1953 to meet

Fairmont High School class of 1953 will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

Watonwan County to offer safety class

Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office will sponsor a snowmobile safety class from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Watonwan Human Services Building, 715 2nd Ave. S., in St. James. Youth must be 11 years of age prior to the class start date to be eligible to take the class. Pre-registration is required before Saturday. Class size is limited. Library to celebrate Suess’ birthday

Martin County Library in Fairmont will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Participants can wear their wackiest socks or Seuss gear and join in the fun. There is no cost to attend. The program is open to the public. For more information, call the library at (507) 238-4207.
