Luhmann’s hat trick guides Fairmont 10U hockey to 7-4 victory

FAIRMONT — Logyn Luhmann netted a hat trick to power the Fairmont 10U girls hockey team to a 7-4 win over Worthington last Saturday.

Alayna Kurt, Brooke Ruppert, Emersyn Ebeling and Kenzley Tietje each contributed a goal to the victory.

Goalie Mia Wiederhoeft made four saves for Fairmont 10U, which travels to Austin on Sunday for a 10:30 a.m. face-off.

Fairmont 12U 4, Worthington 1 — Geminnie Lopez generated all four goals to power Fairmont to the three-goal triumph over Worthington last Sunday at Martin County Arena.

Hayden Olson doled out one assist for Fairmont, while goalkeeper Nola Hazard notched 26 saves to earn the win.

Fairmont 12U travels to Marshall on Sunday for a 3 p.m. face-off.

The Fairmont Bantams posted two wins and a tie during ice action last weekend.

Noah Meixell delivered a hat trick to steer Fairmont to a 7-0 shutout over Alexandra last Saturday at Martin County Arena.

Bryce Roeschen and Preston Geerdes each chipped in two goals apiece in the win.

Preston Cepress tallied two goals to propel Fairmont to a 3-1 victory over Moose Lake last Saturday.

Bryce Ihrke contributed one goal to the winning effort.

Cepress and Geerdes each netted two goals, while Caden Wickert added one to help Fairmont salvage a 5-all tie with Hutchinson last Sunday.

Fairmont Bantams travel to Sartell today for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
