I-90 hoops camp hands out awards

FAIRMONT – Fairmont hosted the I-90 basketball camp for grades 4-12, with members of each grade grouping performing well enough to earn award titles.

Grades four, five and six participated in the camp action on June 22-25.

Grades seven through 12 hit the court for four days on June 14-17.

Three awards were given out for each of the three grade groups.

One player in each earned the title of Mr Hustle, while another was named Mr. Globetrotter and a third earned the name of Mr. Hot Shot.

For the youngest group, grades four, five and six, Brock Rodning claimed the title of Mr. Hustle.

Ryan Thompson worked his way to being named Mr. Globetrotter of the youngest players and Holden Junkermeier earned the title of Mr. Hot Shot.

In grades seven and eight, Nolyn Goerndt worked his way to being named Mr. Hustle, while Joe Long took home the title of Mr. Globetrotter.

Joseph Hackett was named Mr. Hot Shot of the junior high athletes participating.

For the high school-aged group, Kolton Fritz earned the Mr. Hustle title, while Jacob Crissinger was named Mr. Globetrotter and Blake Hilgendorf was named Mr. Hot Shot.
