County Attorney retires from role Martin County’s long-time County Attorney, Terry Viesselman, retired at the end of June. Garden Party & Plant Swap a success To the Editor: City of Lakes Garden Club hosted its third garden party and plant swap on Saturday, June 11, in conjunction with Interlaken Heritage Days. The event was held at Lincoln Park on a cool drizzly morning but we didn’t let a little rain stop our fun. Garden enthusiasts from all over the area were able to bring garden-related items to swap with others and take home new treasurers for their own gardens. Pontoon rides offered by LGF Let’s Go Fishing is in its 13th year of taking out seniors, veterans and the disabled on Fairmont’s lakes. The group is made up of about 40 volunteers all who make these trips possible and we’d like to thank them for their dedication. Relay for Life ready for 30th year Today is the annual Martin County Relay for Life, which will take place from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Martin County Fairgrounds in Fairmont.
