Praying for families of 13 killed To the editor: Certainly the leaving of Afghanistan by our troops will be talked about for months, even years; it will be overly discussed and analyzed to the nth-degree on talk and news shows. But my prayer today is for all the families who lost loved ones in the 20-year war. But I’m concerned because every year we are seeing increasingly severe weather and flooding. We are in a time due to COVID-19, where may people are scared, anxious, lonely and isolated. We couldn’t join our families for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
