Family in support of the community center 100 percent To the Editor: We moved to Fairmont to be closer to family from Mankato and used to utilize the YMCA there multiple times weekly. We loved the atmosphere and the opportunity to meet new people of all ages. My kids participated in many sports activities. I took fitness classes with individuals ranging age 20-75 (had a blast bonding and participating with all ages), and it provided us a space to get out in the long winter months. Let’s have a vote To the Editor: Since there was limited financial information at the Nov. 2nd open house for the Fairmont Community Center, I attended the joint work session for the proposed community center on Nov. 9. Thank you Sentinel for your very thorough coverage of such an important matter. At the meeting, the public had an agenda and colorful drawings of the 3 proposed facilities and photos of the existing hockey arena.
