Wonderful place to be
To the Editor:
The snows stopped in time and the Arc Different Drummer Dance Club Valentine dance had people with disabilities, their friends and family dancing to the great music of the band “Switch Road,” enjoying dinner and posing at the photo booth.
The music was great and bodies were moving, whether in wheelchairs or on their feet. Our own Chad Brandt performed on the drums, something he has done before with “Switch Road.” A huge thank you to “Switch Road” for donating their time and talent to this special day.
Special thanks to the Holiday Inn for hosting our dance on a monthly basis; to Mike, Karla, Lisa and Neal for operating the photo booth; and to the media for publishing our events.
And to Pat Kietzer who organizes our events, contacts and transports self-advocates and makes inclusion in the community an option for so many people. We so much appreciate all you do.
Minnesota may be suffering under some nasty weather but the wonderful, giving people in our community make this a wonderful place to be. Thank you all.

Clear those hydrants
To the Editor:
Fire hydrants should be cleared of snow. This is common sense, not a penalty. This helps out firefighters at your home, or maybe ours. Please exercise this courtesy.
