Phyllis passed away Jan. 28, 2026, at Asante Regional Medical Center, Medford, Ore. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Phyllis was born April 21, 1926, in Malta, Mont. to Dorothea and Delbert “Tweeky” Norton. She graduated from East Chain High School, East Chain, Minn. in 1944. Phyllis married Robert Seger on June 20, 1947, at East Chain Evangelical Free Church, East Chain, Minn. They raised a family, lived and worked around the Fairmont, Minn. area until 1968 when they moved to Breckenridge, Minn. They sold their home in 1990 and purchased a fifth-wheel trailer and traveled around the country visiting family and friends until Robert passed away in 1998. Phyllis then moved to Oregon and lived there until she passed away.

Phyllis is survived by her children Greg (Vicky), San Felipe Baja California, Mexico; Peggy (Jack) Oltman, San Felipe Baja California, Mexico; Barbara (Clark) Hanson, Watertown, S.D.; Cindy (Rodney) Umlauf, Perham, Minn., (Rodney passed away Jan. 29 after a long battle with cancer); and Jacky (Steve) Bronson, Central Point, Ore.; sister Laura Lea Cummins, Texarkana, Texas; brother Daniel (Altrice) Norton, Hohenwald, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by husband Robert, parents Dorothea and Delbert Norton, brothers Phillip Norton and Dell Norton, sister Zelda Norton, and grandson Torrey Oltman.
