Gerald Dean Moore was born on March 14, 1941, to Elmer and Leora (Clark) Moore in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Cedar Valley High School and then attended Dunwoody College in Minneapolis, Minn.

Gerald was united in marriage to Kariline Warbis on July 13, 1963, in Rinard, Iowa. This marriage was blessed with one son, Darin. After their marriage, Gerald and Kariline made their home in Bloomington, Minn., before moving to Fairmont in 1971. Gerald was a mechanic at Motor Inn Company in Fairmont before starting Moore’s Auto Repair with his son, Darin, in 1990 and retiring in 2007. Gerald and Kariline moved to Mankato, Minn., in 2022 to be closer to family.

Gerald was a member of the Martin County Conservation Club and the Borderline Cruisers in Fairmont. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. Gerald took great pride and joy in his two street rods, a 1932 Plymouth Coupe and a 1938 Chevy 2-Door Sedan. Gerald also loved to be out on the lake boating and having fun with his grandsons.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Kariline Moore of Mankato, Minn.; son, Darin (Richelle) Moore of Madison Lake, Minn.; four grandsons, Cody (Erin) Moore, Carson (Courtney) Moore, Carver (special friend, Abbi) Moore and Creed (special friend, Sydney) Moore; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Leora Moore; parents-in-law, Pete and Maxine Warbis; and brothers, Darold (Ilean) Moore and Russell (Camille) Moore.
