Fairmont Speech sees success in Shakopee, Mankato

SHAKOPEE/MANKATO — Five members of the Fairmont Speech team competed at the fourth annual Shakopee Wild Thing on Saturday, Feb. 21. Fairmont took first in the Small Entry division.

Consolation finals:

Oratory: Bel Lutterman is the Champion.

Drama: Allie Streit takes fourth.

Duo: Leon Yang and Cooper Gudahl take fifth.

Impromptu: Bel Lutterman takes second.

Finals:

Extemp Speaking: Bel Lutterman takes sixth.

Humorous: Leon Yang is the Champion.

The Fairmont Speech team competed at the Scarlet Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 21, in Mankato. Fairmont took fourth with 63 points.

Discussion: Evie Folkerts takes second. Jonas Krist is the Champion.

Drama: Faith Eckles takes fifth. Hannah Gries takes fourth.

Ex. Reading: Lillyan Matheson takes fifth.

Humorous: Max Coan takes fifth.

Info: Reagan Olson takes second. Elin Scheppmann is the Champion.

Oratory: Natalie Flaherty takes fourth. Annabelle Watson is the Champion.

Prose: Audrey Streit takes fourth.

Creative Expression: Gabbie Thoeny takes sixth.

Drama: Reyna Juhl takes fourth.

Extemp speaking: Emma Schmidt takes sixth.

Oratory: Bella Coan takes third.

Storytelling: Sophia Streit takes fifth. Michelle Esquivel takes fourth. Megan Wheeler is the Champion.
