Daniel passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at his home in Truman. Memorials are preferred to UHD Hospice. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Daniel Dell Bowman was born Nov. 24, 1939, to Albert and Elizabeth (Quiggle) Bowman on a farm in Pleasant Prairie Township, Minn. Growing up, he attended country school and graduated from Granada High School. He later attended North Central Bible School in Minneapolis, Minn. for three years and Auctioneer School in Mason City, Iowa. On Oct. 28, 1968, Dan was united in marriage to Vicki Wiederhoft in Sioux Falls, S.D. This union was blessed with four children, Jamie, Tavo, Travis and Joni. Dan was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a farmer and drove truck for many different people and businesses through the years. Dan loved horses and would refinish buggies and carriages. He had a special mule, Jake, that he was proud of and would take to jumping competitions. Throughout the years, Dan and Vicki would do sleigh rides at their farm for many people. One of Dan’s favorite things to do was hunting. He could often be found hunting coons, coyotes, and deer. Dan also bought furs at his farm and spent many summers around the area selling mini donuts. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Granada and Sherburn and in his younger years was active in the youth ministry program. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vicki Bowman; children, Jamie (Mark) Lemon, Tavo Bowman, Travis (Heather) Bowman, and Joni (Eric) Sandwick; adopted daughter, Jeanie Johansen; grandchildren, Jacob (Briana), Brooke, Taylor (Matt), Levi, Jordan, Parker, Ricklin, Tom, and Corie; great-grandchildren, Jacey, Jameson, Atticus, Killian, Izzy and Oswell; sisters, Nancy (Jim) Reuhmann, Lora Lee Larson, and Anita Zentner; many nieces, nephews and other extended family. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabeth Bowman; adopted daughter, Desiree Hall; siblings, Mary Ann (Ernie) Swanson, Eugene (Lea) Bowman, Arvid Bowman, and Donald (Mary) Bowman.
