Fairmont City Band for 5th, 6th concert

Fairmont City Band will perform its free, fifth and patriotic concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell in Fairmont. Intermission entertainment will be by the United Church of Christ Men’s Quartet. Fairmont City Band will perform its free, sixth and final concert at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at Sylvania Park Bandshell. Intermission entertainment will be by the Fairmont Opera House Fairmont Area Community Theater cast of “Annie”. Concessions will be available and will support Interlaken Heritage Days. Worship in the Park

Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship in the Park at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the Sylvania Park Bandshell in Fairmont. There will be messages from community members and pastors. All are welcome to attend.

MCHS open hours

The Martin County Humane Society/Carl Nettifee Memorial Animal Shelter (MCHS) in Fairmont will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. To view adoptable pets and additional information, visit mchsofmn.org or contact the MCHS at (507) 238-1885.

Magician to perform

Magician Brian Richards will perform at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at the Martin County Library, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at the Truman Community Building, at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, at the Sherburn Theatre and at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, at Triumph Hall in Trimont.

Stamp Camp

Belle Harder-Inkspiring Others will host a Stamp Camp come-and-go event from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at the Southern Minnesota Educational Campus in Fairmont. Participants will make six cards/projects. Participants must bring their own adhesive and scissors. Registration is required and costs $20. Fun-Tastic Thursday

Fun-Tastic Thursday for children in grades kindergarten through 4 will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library at (507) 238-4207.

Junk Journals
