Vriesen passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church in Ledyard. The family strongly encourages that masks be worn at the service and visitation. Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth is in charge of arrangements.

Victor Gerhard Vriesen was born May 17, 1928, in Greenwood, Wis., the son of Otto and Alberta (Hayn) Vriesen.

Survivors include: his wife of 70 years, Betty; preacher’s kids, Jeff, Merry McGowen, Beth Klope; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
