Sherburn Festival planned for June 18-20
SHERBURN — The St. John’s Lutheran ladies group LWML will meet at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 13. All members are encouraged to attend. The partner church in Wilbert will have their LWML meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14.
The Fox Lake Golf Club Pork Chop Dinner Fundraiser will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 17. Pre-sale tickets cost $15, and are sold at the golf club or from any board member. At-the-door tickets cost $17. The dinner includes baked beans, a baked potato and beverages for sale. The Martin County Pork Producers will grill the pork chops.
The Mayo Mobile Clinic will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 18, and Wednesday, May 20, near the Sherburn City Hall. To make an appointment, call (507) 238-8500 and mention the Sherburn clinic.

A CREST Lunch and Learn program will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont. Sherburn Legion will have Hamburger Night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. The menu includes a burger, salad and beans for $12. Sounds yummy.
The Civic and Commerce Club in Sherburn are getting the planters filled with flowers on Main Street in Sherburn. The club will appreciate financial support. The Sherburn Festival is planned for June 18-20 and there will be city-wide garage sales that weekend also. To be on the garage sale list that will be available at Casey’s and Bank Midwest please drop off your listing at Bank Midwest by June 15 and pay the $10 fee.
St. John’s Lutheran Church is accepting registration for their Vacation Bible School for preschool and kindergarten students which will be from June 8 to June 12. St. John’s Friendship Club is accepting registration for the Bus Day Trip to Iowa to see the Plymouth Playhouse’s production of “A Second Helping”. They are planning a lunch prior to the performance and the cost is $120 per person which includes the bus ride, dinner and show.
