Petersen passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 23, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society in Estherville, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church in Sherburn. Her service will be recorded and placed on her obituary page at the funeral home’s website. Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn is in charge of arrangements.

Loretta Arlene Koch was born Sept. 3, 1933, in Monterey, Minn., to Frank and Elsie (Hartjen) Koch. 

Survivors include: her children, Linda Schiedel of Arizona, Brenda Petersen of Dunnell, Allen Mathwig of Ceylon, Mike Petersen of Hawarden, Iowa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mavis Morris of rural Sherburn; brother, Melvin Koch of Rockford, Ill.; and many other relatives.
