Ronald Van Heumen
CEYLON — Ronald Lee Van Heumen of Ceylon passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at his home, at the age of 78. A visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at Zaharia Family Funeral Home in Truman. Burial of Ronald and his wife, Gloria’s cremated remains will take place in the spring of 2021 at Lake Belt Cemetery, Ceylon. Ronald was born May 24, 1942, in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, to Gerry and Esther H. Heumen. Ronald worked at GKN Manufacturing in Armstrong, Iowa for many years. He married Gloria Johnson and they were blessed with daughter, Zola. He loved camping and was a proud fan and former pit-crew member of Shryock Racing. Ronald is survived by his son-in-law, Greg Anderson of Ceylon; and several other relatives, Mary (Jerry) Williams, Phillip Johnson, Verne (Jan) Johnson, Phyllis (Gary) Meyer and Ruth Carlson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria; daughter, Zola; infant son, Randy; and grandson, Brandon.
