Steve enjoyed duck hunting and liked to go camping whenever he could. He was an avid Nascar fan and tried to get to as many races as possible. He spent a lot of time working on race cars and older cars in his garage along with woodworking. He loved to read books and watch Westerns. One of his favorite things to do was attend all the different sporting and orchestra events for his daughters. He continued to show his support and attended as many of his grandkids events as possible. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandkids do their different activities. He had a contagious laugh and was always ready to share a joke.

The family would like to give special thanks for the employees at the Good Samaritan Home and Sanford Hospital in Jackson, MN and the Sanford Hospice team for their care and compassion for our husband and father. We would also like to extend a very special thank you to all our family and friends who have supported Steve throughout the years and especially during this time.

Family would prefer donations be made to CREST (Caregiver Response Effort and Service Team) or Grace Lutheran Church, both in Fairmont, in lieu of flowers.
