FAIRMONT — A funeral service for Ardis E. Meyenburg, age 97, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2020, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fairmont.

Ardis passed away Monday, June 8, 2020, at Lakeview Methodist Heath Care Center in Fairmont. Because of COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing guidelines will be observed, and the number of guests allowed at the visitation and service will be monitored. The family also requests those who attend to please wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Choir in Fairmont.

Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ardis Emma Meyenburg was born Nov. 16, 1922, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of William and Meta (Kramer) Meyer. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School through the eighth grade and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1941.

She married David John Meyenburg on March 5, 1944. They spent most of their married life in Fairmont.

She worked for 33 years at Wallace’s Department Store, retiring in 1986.

Ardis was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairmont, where she was very active as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and a member of the Charity Club and LWML.

She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and other types of stitching.

She is survived by her daughters, Karon (Edward) Wolfe of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Gloria (James) Wedo of Slayton, Minn.; two granddaughters, Wendy (Thad) FitzHenry of Redmond, Ore., Tracey (Robert) Branson of Goldsboro, N.C.; three grandsons, David (Lynette) Wolfe of Granite City, Ill., Marc Wedo of Eagan, Minn., and Joe Wedo of Eagan, Minn.; six great-granddaughters, Megan, Kimberley and Lauren Wolfe, Hanna Branson, Kaitlyn and Jaclyn FitzHenry; one great-grandson, David Branson; brother, Robert Meyer of Minneapolis, Minn.; other extended family and friends.

Ardis was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a sister-in-law.
