FAIRMONT — Memorial Service for Linda Sue Gustafson, 57, of Fairmont will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Linda passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019, at her home in Fairmont.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Linda Sue Gustafson was born Jan. 7, 1962, in Hennepin County, Minn., to Charles and Alvada (Wendt) Gustafson. Growing up, she attended school in East Chain and graduated from East Chain High School. Following her high school graduation, she attended Winona State University in Winona, Minn., where she received her degree in education.

In her 19 years of teaching, she taught in Wisconsin, Renville and St. James. Due to health reasons, Linda retired in 1998. She later worked as a personal care assistant at Ingleside and House of Hope in Fairmont.

Linda enjoyed cooking, working in her flower garden, collectibles and NASCAR. She had a love for animals, especially her cats and dog, Macy. Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Charles and Alvada Gustafson of Fairmont, Minn.; brothers: Dan (Connie) Gustafson of Fairmont, Minn., and Chris (Paula) Gustafson of Shakopee, Minn.; sister, Judy (Ron) Madsen of Albany, Minn.; nieces and nephews: Riley Gustafson (Julia Fink), Levi Gustafson, Jenna Lee Gustafson, Leah Havnen, Sam Havnen, Thomas Havnen, Holly (Scott) Groetsch, Joshua (Paige) Terres, Emily Gustafson, and David Gustafson; other extended family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents: Herman and Mable Gustafson, and Bertwin and Dorothy Wendt; aunts, uncles and cousins.
