CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. — A memorial service for Brenda J. Fretty, 58, of Crystal River, Fla., formerly of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont.

Brenda passed away Sunday morning, April 15, 2018, at her home in Crystal River, Fla.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Brenda Janelle Fretty was born April 17, 1959, in Webster City, Iowa, to Gerald and Janice (Kramer) Lemon. She attended Fairmont Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1977. After high school, Brenda attended Minnesota School of Business.

On May 3, 1980, Brenda was united in marriage to Randy Fretty. They made their home in Fairmont, where Brenda worked at several places including Telex, Amdevo Plastic Plant, Peoples Natural Gas and handled all the bookkeeping for their family business. In September of 2017, Brenda and Randy moved to Crystal River, Fla.

Brenda’s love for her children was her most important fulfillment. Traveling and her granddaughters were her greatest joy. Brenda’s love of Jesus Christ was her salvation.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 37 years, Randy Fretty; son, Matt (Megan Jammaron) Fretty; daughter, Ashley (Riley) Anderson; granddaughters, Emma Fretty and Lily and Everly Anderson; mother, Jan Lemon; brother, Mark (Jamie) Lemon; sister, Pamela Wedner; mother and father in law, Jake and Beverly Fretty; sister-in-law, Sue (Dr. John) Lund; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Lemon; brother, Michael Lemon; and infant daughter, Hannah Fretty
