B.E. chooses spot for safety cabinets

BLUE EARTH— The Blue Earth City Council made a decision on where to place their new outdoor public access safety cabinet at their meeting on Monday. The cabinet, which will contain an AED, Naloxone and other emergency medical supplies, will be placed near the Giant Welcome Center, with an installation date estimated for fall 2026. FAIRMONT – A new project conceived by the Kids Just Want to Have Fun committee has been postponed until further notice, it was announced at Tuesday’s Fairmont Park Board meeting. For the last three months, Kids Just Want to Have Fun has sought the board’s approval to add a musical playground somewhere in Fairmont. The committee was fundraising and had half the money needed for the project, but wanted the park board’s approval before they went forward with grant writing. The council asked for quotes or bids from two companies and did not get any company to file a quote.
