Kids Against Hunger Needs You! To the editor: Martin County Kids Against Hunger is again planning a pack of 100,000 meals on Feb. 7 at the Fairmont Armory. The demand for packed meals is great in our world and in our neighborhoods. It is very likely that the majority of this year’s pack will get shipped to Chad in Africa where Sudanese refugees are in makeshift camps. They’ve been driven from their country due to conflict and are being fed and cared for by many humanitarian organizations, including Kids Against Hunger and Doctors Without Borders. We can overcome To the editor: I read the Sentinel front page story Jan. 7 with a very heavy heart. I want the Hady family to know that I and many others are saddened that your family is torn apart at this time. Bruce, I will do what I can to reverse these actions. I am but one vote but it is my power. I call upon all citizens that find this action revolting to vote Nov. 3, 2026 to remove people in power that support actions such as these. Terry Riggs Fairmont

I am only one person, I do not escape MN winters by going south, am a Senior Citizen who has lived in this community my entire life and paid taxes for 50 of those years and was thoroughly looking forward to being able to enjoy exercising while socializing with friends and making new ones for nine months ...

Consider supporting Kids Against Hunger To the Editor: I’m writing to encourage participation and support of the 17th annual Martin County Kids Against Hunger fund raiser and food pack from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2026 at the Fairmont National Guard Armory. For the past two years I have participated in the food pack along with my wife Vicky Sagehorn Forst who encouraged me to help out with this very worthwhile cause. In 2026 it’s our goal to pack 100,000 single serving meals and raise $30,000 in monetary donations. In 2025 we packaged over 108,000 meals thanks to the ...
