CEYLON — Circle of Faith parishes postponed their annual meetings from last weekend to Sunday.

St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon will hold its meeting after its 8:30 a.m. service. Trinity Lutheran in Welcome will have its meeting after the 10:30 a.m. service, while Waverly Lutheran north of Welcome will have its meeting 7 p.m. Sunday evening. St. Paul’s Lutheran in Wilbert will have its annual meeting after their 9:30 a.m. communion service on Sunday.

Ceylon Fire Department postponed its breakfast/ brunch fundraiser and will hold it from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Legends II in Ceylon.

The menu will include pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage or ham, juice and coffee.

The donations will used by the fire department for its projects.

Maybe a good way to celebrate getting out of the house since the weather forecast is cooperating this weekend. Good food for a good cause.

Upcoming events include the annual meeting of the Ceylon Area Historical Society 4:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the bank in Ceylon. All members and those interested are urged to attend. Discussions about the committee regarding the repair/replacing of the building and an election will be held.
