Minivan-motorcycle collision on Sunday

JO DAVIESS TOWNSHIP — Minnesota State Patrol, Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Blue Earth Police Department, Blue Earth Fire and Ambulance and Mayo Ambulance responded to an incident involving a 2017 Chrysler Town and Country and a 0000 Honda Motorcycle at 11:23 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, at eastbound Interstate 90, Milepost 114 in Jo Daviess Township in Faribault County. The Chrysler Town and Country and the Honda motorcycle were both traveling eastbound on Interstate 90 when the vehicles collided. The Chrysler Town driver and passengers, Adam W. Nielsen, 38, Kaylee S. Nielsen, 3, and Kaitlynn M. Teachout, 33, of Nevada Iowa received no injuries and wore seatbelts. The Honda Motorcycle driver and passenger Marlon C. Machado, 61, and Sandra Dacol, 55, of Unknown City wore their helmets, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to United Hospital District in Blue Earth. The roads were described to be wet. Alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
