MCW spring play this weekend

CEYLON — Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have 5:30 p.m. services tonight, Saturday, April 5. They invite area residents to their Tuesday Bible Study at 9:30 a.m.

The Lake Belt Bar and Grill will feature the artist Canaan James at 8 p.m. tonight, Saturday, April 5.

The Ceylon Community Day Auction and Rummage Sales will be on Saturday, April 12. Maps are usually available at the post office and the auctioneer’s bus/office.

Tuesday Coffee Hours are from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in April at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee, goodies and great fellowship.

The American Red Cross blood drives will be on April 9 at Truman High School, April 14 at Martin Luther High School in Northrop, April 14 at the Regional Worship Center just south of I-90 in Sherburn, and April 18 at the Legion Hall in Fairmont. Please give blood if you are able since there is an urgent need for blood now.

Lenten mid-week services at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert have one more service at 6:30 p.m. on April 9, with a cooperative lunch to follow. The Circle of Faith Parishes meet at 6 p.m. for supper and at 7 p.m. for services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon has services at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays in April. St. Peter members will collect donations for Heaven’s Table during April. Waverly Lutheran Church, north of Welcome, will have services at 9 a.m. on Sundays in April.

The Sherburn Theatre will feature the MCW Spring Play, “This Murder Was Staged”, a comedy and mystery production, this weekend. The theatre will show the movie “King of Kings” next weekend. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 4 p.m. on Sundays. Note that the school play time is earlier on Sunday.
