WELCOME — Circle of Faith parishes will have Sunday services at 9 a.m. at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome and 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon. All area residents are welcome to join them. Note the change in times.

On Sunday, June 9, the police departments for Welcome/Sherburn and Trimont will have a Bike Rodeo in each town. In Sherburn, the children and parents should meet at 9 a.m. at MCW High School, in Welcome the Rodeo starts at 12 p.m. (noon) at the Welcome Fire Hall and in Trimont the Rodeo is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the elementary school in Trimont. Parents will be asked to sign a waiver and stay present. Children should bring a bike, helmet and closed toe shoes. They will get a bike safety gift bag and learn signals, navigating cones, helmet use and bike safety tips. Sounds like a fun event.

The Welcome Legion will meet 7 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Welcome Legion Hall. All members are urged to attend.

Tuesday coffee hours for June continue from 8:30-10 a.m. June 11, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn. Join friends and neighbors for coffee, goodies and great fellowship.

An American Red Cross blood drive will beheld 1-6 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Regional Worship Center (across from Kum & Go) in Sherburn. Watch for MnDOT signs for detours because of Highway 4 construction. Future blood drives will be held June 17 in Truman, on June 21 at the Legion, 300 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont, and on July 15 at St. Paul’s Church in Welcome. To get

Condolences to the families of Ivadelie “Ivy” Erickson and Bertrand “Gene” Pedersen who passed away recently. They will be missed by family and friends.

Housing on June 22 featuring music by “Heart Song,” a hog roast, activities for children and a silent auction in the Martin County Arena at the fairgrounds in Fairmont.
