CEYLON — Our Savior’s congregation will meet for services at 5:30 p.m. tonight, March 2, with communion. They also invite area residents to a Bible study they have at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday morning.

There will be cribbage tournaments held 1:30 p.m. on March 9 and March 16, at the Welcome

Legion Hall. Any cribbage enthusiast is welcome to come and play.

Ceylon Fire Department Relief Association will have another pancake brunch from 9 a.m. to noon on March 10, in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. The menu includes pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, ham and sausage and juice. A free will donation is appreciated. The non-profit group, Helping Hands of Ceylon, will do a bake sale fundraiser at the pancake brunch site.

Thursday Coffee Lovers group meets 8:30-10 a.m. each Thursday in Ceylon in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill. All men and women in the area are welcome to join them for coffee and fellowship.

So far some churches have contacted me about having Tuesday coffee hours this spring/summer or fall. The list I have so far is for April at the Methodist/Sinn Celebration of Life facility in Trimont; June at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn; and August at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn. Midweek Lenten services continue with 6:30 p.m. services at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert followed by a lunch, and 6 p.m. services at St. John’s Lutheran in Sherburn followed by a lunch. Circle of Faith Parishes gather for a 6 p.m. meal served by the youth group followed by the service at 7 p.m .at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. All area residents are welcome to join these churches for services.

American Red Cross blood drives continue in March with a drive from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Fairmont High School. Blood drives will also be held 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 18 at St. John Vianney in Fairmont and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 29, at Live Fit gym in Fairmont.
