Active Living meets Tuesday
TRUMAN — A farmers’ market will be held 8-11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at Graf Park in Truman. Vendors can be anyone selling homemade or homegrown items of any variety: vegetables, canned or baked goods, woodworking, sewing, soap making, craft projects, the list is endless. Truman Public Schools food service is offering FREE breakfast and lunch to children, 18 and under, Monday through Friday. Breakfast will be served 8:15-8:45 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to noon in the cafeteria. Please use door 7 in front of the school.
Truman Active Living group will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at the Truman Museum. If you would like to see Truman continue to provide and improve their facilities, then your input is welcome.
Household hazardous waste collection will be done 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Wednesday in July at Prairieland Solid Waste Management in Truman. Also, appliances and electronics are accepted for a fee.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman will be having their salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 12. Enjoy a wide variety of salads, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $8. Take-outs are available, and also a lift.
There will be storytime/crafts for kids beginning 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the Truman Public Library.
Truman Pride meeting will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at the Truman School. Normally they meet the first Wednesday of the month but are trying to avoid the 4th of July holiday. Pride in our school, pride in our students, pride in our future. Get involved and help Truman school succeed. Come join. All are welcome.

Lewisville Days co-ed/suicide awareness softball tournament is August 5th and 6th. All beer sales will be donated to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (Please no coolers.) Donations are also welcome. Entry fee is $125 (100 percent payback, must be paid before you play). $1,000 1st place payout based off 12 teams. Double elimination possibly hard luck depending on number of teams. Bring your own .52/300 balls, 6 homeruns total. ASA rules apply. Winners ump Saturday and losers ump Sunday.
