CEYLON — A Celebration of Life for Larry Puhrman will be from 1 to 4 p.m. today, Saturday, April 25, at the Welcome Legion Hall. He is remembered by many former students and cribbage friends.

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn will host a combined service and call meeting with its partner congregation, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert, at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 26.

The Tuesday April Coffee Hours will meet one more time from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee, treats and fellowship. Coffee Hours on Tuesdays in May will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.

The Coffee Lovers meet from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Thursday in the banquet room at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon.

Condolences to the families of Lyle Anderson and Duane “Packy” Diers from Ceylon, who passed away recently. They will be missed by family and friends.

The St. John’s Friendship Club will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 4, at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Area residents are welcome to join them for fellowship and lunch. There is no requirement to be a member of St. John’s congregation in Sherburn to attend.

A Spring Vendor Show sponsored by the Welcome Legion Auxiliary will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 2, at the Welcome Legion Hall. Breakfast will be served for a free-will donation. Many crafts and vendors will be present. Plan to attend.

The Helping Hands of Ceylon non-profit group will distribute Heaven’s Table food boxes from 9 a.m. to noon on May 19.
